24 Jun 2008 || Jay Leno show

Jesse will be on the tonight show with jay leno in LA on the 25th of July at 10pm.

Leona OR Jesse?
The summer hit 'Bleeding Love' is being made hugely popular by new-comer Leona Lewis, though it was actually penned by fellow pop-stars Jesse McCartney and Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic.

McCartney not only co-wrote the tune, but also recorded his own version, and the audio has recently been circulating around the internet. Sans the slick pop production and club-ready beats of Lewis' take, his original recording has a slow, stripped-down R&B vibe. Would McCartney's version of 'Bleeding Love' be just as much of a smash on the charts as Leona Lewis' take on it?

McCartney Defends Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair Pics
Singer/songwriter Jesse McCartney has defended Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus's controversial Vanity Fair shoot - insisting the pictures were not "offensive".

The 21-year-old stuck up for the 15-year-old actress following the backlash the Disney Channel star encountered after posing for photos, which have been deemed too sexy for a teenager.

Cyrus' clean cut image was damaged by the release of images of her wrapped in just a satin bedsheet in June's edition of the U.S. magazine.

And McCartney can't understand why the media reacted so strongly.

He says, "I think that people are nuts. I didn't find any of the photos offensive in Vanity Fair. I thought they were artistic if anything.

"It sucks man. Everything about Miley was so sensationalised. I really feel for her you know."

21 Jun 2008 || axm

Jesse is featured on the cover of the July issue of axm magazine heres what he had to say,
Jesse McCartney thinks David Beckham is a "stud".

The former Disney star, who co-wrote Leona Lewis' smash hit single Bleeding Love, was asked which male he most looked up to in the fashion world, revealing, "I like Marc Jacobs, I think that all of his stuff seems to fit me all the time.

"I love his suits and everything that he puts out there."

And when asked what he thought of the LA Galaxy star's fashion sense, Jesse, 21, said, "Yeah. Beckham's a stud man."

Jesse, speaking to UK gay men's magazine AXM, also revealed he'd happily play a gay character in a film.

He explained, "Yeah. You know an actor is an actor and an actor in my opinion should be able to step up and play any role, whether it's gay, straight, whatever. It's all about becoming somebody else, that's what I love about acting."

Jesse also spoke about the recent controversy surrounding Miley Cyrus' risqué photo shoot for Vanity Fair magazine, insisting he doesn't know what all the fuss is about.

"I think that people are nuts," said Jesse. "I didn't find any of the photos offensive in Vanity Fair.

"I thought they were artistic if anything. It sucks man. Everything about Miley was so sensationalized. I really feel for her you know."
